OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police are looking for at least two men who were involved in a reported home invasion near 119th and Rosehill in Overland Park, Kan.
Police said a woman returned home after running errands shortly before noon on Thursday when she heard her doorbell and someone knocking at her door.
On Thursday FOX 4 spoke to the victim, who did not wish to be identified, but wanted to tell her story in hopes someone would be able to help catch the thieves who stole from her.
“When I’m home alone I don’t want to answer the door, so I didn’t do anything. I have a little Pomeranian. She was barking like crazy and I just let it be you know,” the woman told FOX 4. “Somebody rang the doorbell again and pound the door real hard and I still didn’t do anything.”
Finally the woman said she heard something which made her get up and head towards the door, that’s when two men busted in and confronted her in the foyer.
“Then I said ‘what are you guys doing here, get out of here’ and I ‘m trying to push the guy and he grabs what looks like a knife to me okay. He just put it on my throat and said ‘no more, no more’ and then he just grab my necklace and leave,” said the victim.
The woman said the two men then ran out to a waiting car, jumped in the backseat and drove away.
The suspects are described as two tall and skinny black males, in their late teens, early 20’s. At least one of the suspects, possibly both, was wearing a long sleeve dark colored shirt and blue jeans. The car they left in is described as a white four door car.
