KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Several businesses near 103rd & Wornall were being evacuated Friday morning for fear Indian Creek would spill over into them and put people in danger.

Among the businesses evacuated is ‘Coaches’ sports bar, where there’s already water marks on the building from past floods.

“This is the sixth time and it looks like the water is not quite in the building yet so I’m hoping the water will go down shortly,” said Chris Carle, Coaches owner.

“It’s pretty much a helpless feeling. There’s not much we can do. But we do have customers that show up with tool belts on after we flood and they help us get back up and running,” she said.

At about 9:00 a.m. FOX 4’s Rob Collins showed the water rising. (Watch in the video player above.) Then see the difference a half hour later in the report below.
