KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Powerball prices are going up. In 2012, Powerball tickets will cost twice as much.
The price of a Powerball ticket will double from $1 to $2 from January 15. The minimum jackpot will also double from $20 million to $40 million. Jackpot officials are betting that the jackpot amount is the figure most people will focus on.
