INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — One person was injured in a rollover accident along 40 Highway in Independence early Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, a person was driving a small vehicle westbound in the 13000 block of 40 Highway at a high rate of speed around 4:00 a.m. when they apparently lost control, hitting a pole at a car dealership and then a bowling alley sign before coming to rest on its roof in a parking lot.
One person was seriously injured when they were thrown from the vehicle – there are no other reports of injuries from the accident, which remains under investigation.
