LOS ANGELES — The home soda-making machine company called SodaStream purchased a slot for a commercial to run during the Super Bowl, but according to the LA Times, the committee banned the SodaStream ad for a second year in a row.
Unable to get their money back, the CEO had his advertisers change the last line, which wasn’t appreciated by another soda company.
The LA Times reports the last line said, “Sorry Coke and Pepsi.” (Watch the uncensored version in the video player above.) Pepsi is one of the official Super Bowl sponsors.
Last year’s SodaStream commercial was reportedly banned because it showed a Pepsi delivery truck and a Coke delivery truck and then pointed out how many bottles would be saved by using SodaStream.
