KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After three long years a father and daughter have been reunited. According to dad William Warren, they`ve been apart since the girl`s mother, Carla Osborne, took her away for a weekend visit and then told her ex-husband he`d never see his daughter again.
“My daughter and I had a really excellent bond and to just have it ripped away like that it really causes problems. I never gave up hope,” Warren said.
Police found 13-year-old Lillie Warren and Osborne in Edmond, Okla., on Monday. U.S. Marshals took Osborne into custody for felony abduction. William Warren has maintained Osborne kidnapped the girl and now he has his little girl back. One marshal said the mother and daughter were living in deplorable conditions homeless at times.
“I knew someday and some point we`d see each other again and I just held on to that thought,” Warren said.
