A stretch of 291 Highway in Independence is closed following a major water main break on Wednesday morning.
According to officials, the highway is closed between 23rd Street and Holke. Officials say that repair crews may have to dig up a good portion of 23rd Street and possible parts of 291 to fix the leak.
There is no word on when the roads will reopen.
