NORMAN, Okla. — The Kansas Jayhawks shot a sizzling 54.7 percent as part of its effort to beat Oklahoma 90-83 at the Lloyd Noble Center on Wednesday night. Wayne Selden led the way for the Jayhawks with a career-high 24 points.
The freshman was 5-for-10 from three-point range, and the ‘Hawks made 8-of-16 as a team from beyond the arc. Perry Ellis pitched in with a double-double that included 22 points and 11 rebounds.
KU has now won 23 straight conference openers. Kansas (10-4 / 1-0) hosts K-State on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is at 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
