LAWRENCE, Kan. — The last team to do it was coached by Hall of Famer Dean Smith at North Carolina. After 17 years, the Kansas Jayhawks (14-4, 5-0) have now also won four straight regular season games against teams ranked in the top 25.

Kansas defeated Baylor (13-5, 1-4) 78-68 on Monday night and KU remains the only unbeaten team in Big 12 play. Baylor’s game plan on playing a tough zone defense, and scoring from long-range on offense, seemed to work in the first 20 minutes.

The Bears hit eight of 10 three-point shots in the first-half and trailed 37-35 at the intermission. But Kansas responded midway through the second half with a 14-2 run, and led by as many as 14 points before winning by 10.

Perry Ellis led Kansas with 18 points, while freshman Andrew Wiggins added 17. Brady Heslip led Baylor with 19 points. Kansas next plays Saturday night on the road in Ft. Worth against TCU.
